Covid Policy
The outbreak of COVID-19 presents one of the country’s most significant challenges in recent years. We understand this is an extremely worrying time for everyone, not least for the older and more vulnerable members of society and their loved ones.
Our staff are here to deliver essential care to clients and offer support such as advice to stay physically and mentally active and well at home, for example, nutrition and exercise. They can also support with shopping and picking up medication and helping older people to stay connected with family and friends remotely through technology.
We are following the Government’s guidance on delivering home care during this time to ensure that we are minimising the risk of spreading the illness whilst still providing our vital service to clients so that they can stay safe and well at home.
Some of the measures we have in place to ensure the safety of both clients and staff are as below.
- Our staff receive comprehensive training in infection control and are strictly following industry guidance from the UK’s Public Health Authorities and World Health Organisation which includes emphasis on the importance of safe handwashing practice.
- In line with the latest Government advice all our staff are working hard to minimise the risk of transmission through safe working procedures. This includes the use of personal protection equipment (PPE) as needed. PPE includes the use of masks, aprons, gloves and/or eye protection when delivering
Our office is working hard to continually monitor and respond to the developments around COVID-19, working closely with the UK Home Care Association. We also continue to follow direction provided by the UK’s Public Health Authorities and World Health Organisation and keep a close eye on the situation. Everything we do is always with the wellbeing of our clients, teams and staff foremost in our minds at this difficult time. Please contact our office directly and we will be more than happy to reassure you.
